MY FIRST LOVE

Hello!

   Welcome to Once Upon A Story. Lets jump right in! Last year (2015) I started a small jewelry business at home! I am the mother of 4 children under the age of 4. Looking to have a little extra income I thought I would use my creative talent that God gave me, and make some jewelry to sell. It was something I could do in a timely manner without taking much family time away from my husband and children! I was able to set up a booth at a few local markets/festivals and turn a profit in the first 2 months. YAA ME!! BBBBUUTTT......Jewelry making is NOT my FIRST LOVE!!!!

   When I was about 7, my grandmother sat me down at the sewing machine and showed me the basics! I didn't love it right away, but after a few successful runs on the machine I was HOOKED! I have been sewing on and off ever since! Then I turned 12...DUN, DUN, DUNNN.....I picked up a crochet hook and started hooking taught myself how to crochet!! What do you know, I loved it! Age 13, picked up my first cross stitch and needle point projects. (Lets just say my husband is a VERY patient and understanding man. I have never heard him complain about the 12 bolts of fabric I just brought home from the craft store, or my 24 cases of teeny tiny beads, the book shelves that no longer hold books but instead are completely packed with yarn!)

 The Lord has blessed me with the desire and ability to create with my hands, it is now time to use it! I am so thankful for my talent and can't wait to see if there is someone else I can help or teach a new technique too! I can hardly wait to get started!
